App Marketing Tools 101

Your budget will be one of the most important factors while considering what tools to choose. One of the free tools I find really helpful when it comes to making the most of Twitter is TweetDeck. It allows for tracking different accounts and hashtags so you’re up to date with the conversations that matter to you and are able to tap into those conversations when it’s most convenient to you.
If you can afford a paid tool, it’s a bit of a biased opinion but I’d recommend having a look at Brand24. It’s a social listening platform that provides you with a lot more valuable insights that just tracking mentions. Speaking specifically about Twitter, you’ll be able to see estimated social media reach, the numbers of likes and sharesof the collected Tweets as well as get to see the same data on the singled out tweet, if you prefer. Other than that, you get to find influencers in your niche that you might want to establish meaningful relationships with.
The “Analysis” tab allows for seeing The most interactive mentions as well as Mentions from the most popular authors. Something that might come in handy while tracking competitors is the sentiment analysis.
It’s a super valuable feature that allows for filtering the mentions according to people’s attitude expressed in their posts. With that being said, you can easily get to those mentions from people dissatisfied with your competitors’ services or products. Quite often, and especially on Twitter, I see people looking for help or asking questions that some brands do not bother to reply to. If you’re capable of helping those people, there’s nothing wrong in jumping in such conversations.
Now, here’s a bit of a different approach you could try - over 20 thousand people ask “Can anyone recommend…?” on Twitter within a three-month timeframe. That’s quite a lot of potential people to market to, and what’s cool about them, they’re a lot likely to buy something from you since they are asking about a particular kind of product themselves, so you’re not pushing it towards them. People love interactions from brands so engaging them could definitely get you some bonus points.
I could probably go on and on with explaining different features but as I believe there’s no better way than just test a tool, I recommend having a look at a free trialand see for yourself if you like it.
